Zachary Kiehl is Co-Founder and CEO of Sentinel Occupational Safety, Inc. Prior to launching Sentinel, he led the Confined Spaces Monitoring System project with the Air Force Sustainment Center. This effort received over $10M of Department of Defense (DoD) investment and served as the basis for Sentinel’s health and safety IoT platform known as SafeGuard™. Previously, Zach ran portions of Aptima’s Human-System Performance portfolio, a series of projects and opportunities valued at $30M annually. These efforts improved the health, safety, and performance of humans on a range of DoD and commercial applications. Additionally, he has extensive research experience on contracts funded by DARPA, AFRL, AFSC, NAVAIR, NAVSEA, SOCOM, and the Army. This research led to numerous professional presentations, peer-reviewed publications, and patent applications. Zach holds a BS and MS in Biomedical Engineering from Wright State University and an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
